| Ovation Idea By Craver I got a hold of an Ovation Idea and brought it to Atlanta to have our open mic folks give her a ride. This is what we learned. Like all Ovations, the Idea is very easy to play. It has a nice 'light' action and the neck has a good feel to it. The top is spruce and the back and sides are the classic Ovation rounded shape made of high-tech poly resin. We hooked the Idea directly to our computer with the provided cable and loaded 'Band In The Pocket' backing tracks. We were able to immediately plug-in some headphones to the guitar and start jamming along with the recording. For practicing your lead licks, there's nothing better! We also loaded some MP3 tracks with just bass and drums. We played back the tracks and performed the songs. The entire mix came out perfectly through the PA. Very simple and very impressive. The Idea got its name from its ability to capture a song idea. Again, it couldn't be easier to 'seize the moment.' We pushed the record button and the Idea captured both guitar and vocals on its built-in MP3 recorder. Later, we downloaded the track into the computer with ease.
